Us Filipinos, some a mix of different races, have a great ancestry. This is why we should learn to show respect to our ancestry! We can start by joining in the festivities and celebrations we hold here. We can also pay attention to their beliefs and the tradition. After learning about these, we can share them with other Filipinos or even with foreigners. With a rich heritage and great ancestry, we should be proud to be part of the Filipino race!

Anywhere we go, always be proud being a Filipino. Even if some countries look down on the Philippines as a third-world country, don't be afraid to tell them that you're a Filipino. Many Philippine traditions and cultures are worthy to be boasted and shared to others. We are a unique Asian race, consisting of different, but interesting cultures. So do not hesitate in sharing your Filipino traditions, always be proud to be a FILIPINO!

Philippine products have for a long time been overlooked and thought to be of low quality. This is not true. We Filipinos have products that are just as good as those from abroad. Unfortunately, we seem to appreciate brands from abroad, because of colonial mentality. An example is this conversation.

Juan: Pedro! Tara, punta tayo sa Marikina para bumili ng sapatos!
Pedro: I want to go to Nike or Adidas, there are many shoes there that are made abroad!
Juan: Hindi! Sa Marikina, mura't matitibay ang mga sapatos doon, magtatagal nang sampu't higit pang taon!
Pedro: No, imported shoes are much much nicer!

As we can see from the conversation, Pedro wants imported ones, thus showing colonial mentality. This can be stopped though. We should learn to show more respect in the products we make. This is so that not only will our economy rise from buying local products, but it will also cause other countries to gain more interest in the products the Philippines has to offer.

RESPECT. It is a trait that is always to be remembered. Filipinos are known to have respect and hospitality wherever they are.  Start by practicing respect with other Filipinos. No matter what our social class is, we are of the same blood as the rich or poor Filipinos. We are one race, so we are brothers or sisters with each other. How we treat ourselves, relatives, or friends, we must also treat others. We should be united, even with social classes separating us. That is how we can work together to show nationalism. Before we say that we are true Filipinos, let us make sure that we know how to treat our fellow Filipinos, because it may be that we are Filipinos by blood, but not Filipinos by heart.

Our nation's flag has stood strong like those Filipinos then, and like the Filipinos now. This is why we should show love and dedication to our flag. It means that we truly care for our country, and you're willing to make sacrifices for it! This act alone can also spark nationalism to others. Finally, a simple act like this does not come without notice.
